A lot of it is to do with the Mayan calendar and when they thought the world would end. It’s a good idea for a story so there have been a few films like 2012 which has brought it to the public’s attention.
Personally i don’t think it will but I don’t want to tempt fate….

I think the world will be A OK- but just in case make sure you accomplish everything you can off your bucket list this year!
Earlier this year people said the world was coming to an end on May 21st, 2011 and it was the start of “rapture” or judgement day. However, the world is still going strong. The 2012 predictions are based on the Mayan calendar and Amelia’s got a great link to describe it. Enjoy!
