I have won the lottery, I won a whole £85 about 10 years ago, and that was the only thing I every won doing it. That said, if I did win millions on the lottery, I’d still turn up for work – I’d just fund a few more students’ studies and perhaps fund some research into new ideas that I have….and take a few more holidays!
No 🙁 but I don’t play it that often, just Euromillions when it’s a big jackpot.
Although I remember when I was at primary school the parents of a girl in my class won £10,000! I remember thinking she was a millionaire lol!
Like Jim I think I’d carry on with what I was doing if I won. I’d prob just buy a really nice house in the countryside with planty of land for my horse and maybe a few others.
I played the lottery once and didn’t win (even though I thought I was having a “lucky” day) – I have never played it again!
If I did win the lottery (unlikely!) I have often said that I’d after paying off my mortgage I’d use the money to keep on researching, training students and having fun being a scientist!
Yes! For my 18th birthday my older bro bought me a scratch ticket- I won $300. It was the best birthday present ever. I haven’t won since which means statistically I’m probably due- I should go get a ticket I think.. 😉
