Hmmm I’m not really sure about this one. I don’t think there’s any “correct” answer here.

Firstly it’s not been shown to be possible so far as us humans are reaaaally complicated. It’s hard to know what impact it would have and how it would change the world if it was possible (and allowed) to clone humans.

The good side of it is that maybe you could clone yourself if you need a transplant of some kind… The difficulty with transplants is getting one that is a match for you. It’s important to get one that your body will accept as your own because implanting one that isn’t a match will lead to “rejection”. This makes the patient really poorly and at risk of death and also means a perfectly good transplant is lost. If you had an exact clone then it would be a perfect match.

The bad side is that would this power be abused in some way? Is it right to create another life just to save yours?

I think I’ll let you have a think about those issues and make your own mind up 🙂
