Question: Is there a cure for cancer cos I heard something on the news about a new one?

not yet. We are working on it tho. Cancer is really tricky. Cancer cells divide uncontrollably which makes them genetically unstable- leading to lots of mutations in their DNA. This gives us as scientists a leverage point and we can exploit those mutations to create drugs and kill the cancer- however because the cancer cells keep dividing they can acquire new mutations and now our old drugs are no longer effective– so we it’s a cycle and scientists are trying to stay one step ahead of cancer.
