Well it’s a bit chaotic. As luck would have it I seem to have a really busy week this week so it’s all been a bit frantic answering questions, writing work up, doing experiments, going to careers fairs and making scientific posters for conferences…
But actually I’m really enjoying answering them. You guys ask some reeeeally tricky questions and it’s starting to make my brain hurt already and it’s only wednesday! When you do a biology degree, or any degree I guess, they give you so much to learn and I have a vague memory of most of it but it’s only the stuff you use everyday you really know well. So I could tell you all kinds of things about my device but find it hard to answer random questions on cloning. But somewhere from the inner bits of my mind (with a little help from google 😉 to remind me) I think I’m doing ok…I hope!
I am really enjoying answering your questions – it is really challenging to wrack your brains for good answers (with examples) to the questions – especially in the the live chats! In science we spend a lot of time saying “well I am not sure, but what I do know is…” and trying build from there.
So really answering questions on all sorts of topics not only helps us find out what we don’t know, but also gathers together what we do know, in order to answer the question.
Finding out is what science is all about, and the chance to do it for fun is great!
