I think I’d have to say Italy as I’ve been there a few times. The food is amazing as are the people. There’s also loads to see especially if you like history and art. My favourite place I’ve not been is New Zealand, I’d really love to go there one day!

My favorite place in the world is Nantucket Island- it’s a small island off the shore of cape cod (outside of Massachusetts). My family lives there and it’s legit the best place on Earth- the beaches are amazing and the people are so friendly.

*outside the US- my fav place to go is probably either Thailand or India- both are fun vibrant places and I love spicey food.

My favourite holidays are camping near a great beach… I am not fussy but being able to walk to beach and explore and swim to my hearts content is just the best!

I travelled around the world before I started my PhD and I’d definitely go back to Hawaii, Fijii and the Barrier Reef Coast of Australia (great beaches again!).

For a relaxing non-beach holiday – food, culture and partying I don’t think you can beat Spain, Barcelona in particular!

Melbourne, Australia. It’s where my sister lives. The animal and plant life is so different from many European countries; they also have such fantastic food from many countries, and really good coffee.

Mind you, I’m also a big fan of the British isles, I love going to the far flung coasts of the UK, in North Wales and in the North-West of Scotland.
