• Question: why do females have more ribs then men????

      They don’t! Males and females have the same. I think this idea comes from the first book of the bible, Genesis, where it is stated that god used one of Adam’s ribs to create Eve, which I presume people think leaves Adam short of one. This is is clearly not correct.

      Yep Jim’s right on this one 🙂

      However…..apparently about 1 in 200-500 people have an additional cervical rib, and there is a female predominance (more likely to occur in women than men).
