• Question: You describe yourself geeky why?

      Well I always say I am a bit geeky, but really I aspire to be a geek!

      For example I am really interested in computers and do a little bit of programming in my research but I am awe of real computer geeks who can programme awesome apps that do cool things…

      So I am a wannabe geek really…

      Like Richard I mean geek in a really positive way. I love learning about anything and everything. Although I work in science all day I still love reading science books and watching science tv programs.

      I’m not great with computers but when mine blew up at work last year (not a good moment!) one of the people in our group (who’s a real computer geek) helped me buy new bits for it and put it all together which I really enjoyed.

      To put it another way if I was a character in the big bang theory I’d probably be more of a Sheldon than a Penny! 🙂
